What do some of the world’s most important business leaders want from a book right now? The same thing most of us want: understanding, hope and a dose of escapism. Our annual survey of CEOs, entrepreneurs, politicians, philanthropists and other newsmakers highlights everything from nonfiction writing about managing colleagues to history books on the kings of England to more personal works of fiction. One book in particular stood out among the rest: 1929 by CNBC host Andrew Ross Sorkin was nominated four times.
