I really hope Central Glasgow gets the revival it deserves. It's is one of the most architecturally underrated urban districts in Europe - a treasure house of florid victorian architecture that, with frequent early use of metal frames, also nods towards modernism on its way. The area's recovery has been sluggish since the pandemic - and, in an area where conversion of commercial buildings to residential would greatly help, partly exacerbated by the complications of historic renovation. Change now seems to be kicking in, however, and a brighter, more resilient future could be on the way. https://lnkd.in/ghiU5R-U
