Romania’s Ultranationalist Presidential Hopeful Endorses Poland’s Nawrocki

Romanian ultranationalist George Simion attended an election rally of Polish opposition candidate Karol Nawrocki, seeking to resuscitate his political ally’s campaign before a presidential ballot on Sunday.

Support for Nawrocki has weakened amid accusations that he may have exploited an elderly man from whom he bought a small apartment. A survey on Wednesday showed his backing at 21.6%, down from an average of 25% in the 10 previous polls, well behind Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski at 33.7%.
