Wealthy Americans hoping to take advantage of New Zealand’s golden visa program are hoping the government will soon relax a ban on house sales to foreigners, advisers say.

Billionaire mining magnate Gina Rinehart poured hundreds of millions of dollars into broad market-tracking funds during the first three months of the year, boosting holdings of US equities as Donald Trump returned to the White House.

The CEO of the fund last week laid out plans to pour $500 billion into the US economy over the next decade. That push also dovetails into Qatar's efforts to join the race for regional financial dominance. Global firms are already taking notice: Eduardo Saverin’s B Capitalunveiled plans to open a Qatar office earlier this year. Days later,BlackRock’s Global Infrastructure Partnersannounced a move to Doha.
