Democrats Wasted Donors' Money in Florida

Instead of lavishing huge sums on special elections they have no chance of winning, Democrats need to invest for the long term in the Sunshine State.

Tuesday marked the most consequential political report card yet in President Donald Trump’s second term. Voters in Florida gave him lower than expected — but passing — grades. It was Democrats who failed the test.

Despite raising huge sums of money from out-of-state liberals, both Democratic candidates lost. Florida now will send Republicans Jimmy Patronis, the state’s chief financial officer, and Randy Fine, a state senator, to the US House of Representatives, increasing the GOP’s narrow majority.
