Kenya’s annual inflation rate climbed to an eight-month high in April on the tight supply of food items including corn, potatoes and green vegetables.
Consumer prices rose 4.1%, compared with 3.6% in March, the Nairobi-based Kenya National Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday in a statement on its website. The nation’s monetary policy committee had projected inflation at 4.2% in April.
