The European Union proposed an array of measures aimed at lightening the regulatory load for defense investments as part of the bloc’s push to boost its arms industry.
“We need defense readiness to deter aggression and prevent war,” Defense Commissioner Andrius Kubilius told reporters in Brussels on Tuesday. “Defense-readiness time also demands different regulations from peace time.”
