Eutelsat SA struck a 10-year deal with the French government to provide connectivity for the country’s military in a win for the satellite operator as it works to make its service sustainable.
The deal will give the French Armed Forces priority access to the OneWeb low-Earth orbit constellation, a service worth as much as €1 billion ($1.1 billion), the company said in a statement on Wednesday. The agreement also includes operational and security maintenance and upgrading and securing the constellation for military-grade use.
