American Airlines Group Inc. withdrew its full-year earnings outlook, joining a growing number of companies hedging their bets on the broader economy. The looming impact of higher costs from the Trump administration’s trade policy is making it difficult for Corporate America to forecast how the year will play out as consumers brace for economic pain.
The major carrier said in a filing Thursday that it would aim to reinstate its outlook if and when business conditions stabilize. In January, it had projected adjusted earnings per share of $1.70 to $2.70 for the full year on a revenue gain of 4.5% to 7.5%.
