Europe’s Carmakers Win Relief From CO2 Emissions Fines This Year

Lawmakers in the European Parliament supported an amendment that means manufacturers that miss their CO2-cutting obligations in 2025 can reduce emissions faster over the next two years to make up for it. EU member states also backed the plan at a meeting Wednesday.
