Nike Inc. is partnering with world-record runner Faith Kipyegon to help her become the first woman to run a mile in under four minutes, part of the company’s attempt to regain an edge in the running sector.

As part of the arrangement, Nike will be involved in all performance aspects of the attempt, including apparel, footwear, aerodynamics, physiology and mind science, the company said on Wednesday. Nike has yet to reveal any new technology that Kipyegon will use. Her mile attempt is set to take place at the Stade Charlety in Paris on June 26.
