Abortion pill prescribers in New York may now include the address of their health-care practice on prescription labels in lieu of their name under a bill signed by the governor Friday.
The legislation (A5285/S4587) permits prescription labels for mifepristone and misoprostol to include the address of the prescribing or dispensing health-care practice instead of the name of the prescriber or dispenser. The bill, signed into law by Gov. Kathy Hochul (D), builds on legislation she signed in early February to include the name of the prescribing health-care practice rather than the prescriber’s name.
