Takeaways NEW

Estonia plans to build a military base in the city of Narva, in the Baltic nation’s latest move to bolster security along its sensitive border with Russia.

The government in Tallinn is currently seeking a location for the small base, which would host a few hundred troops. They could also include forces from NATO allies which have troops based in the country, such as the UK and US.
